It's still in violation of policies. You're exchanging a virtual commodity in one game with one from another game. It's not inherently bad but considered morally wrong. People can also use this as an excuse to bypass RWT by first trading commodities from this game to another game, likely less regulated, that the buyer/seller can then sell for real currency; effectively using another game as a middleman. iirc on Jagex's stance, they own all "virtual" goods so they treat it as not yours to trade outside runescape in the first place.
Someone else can expand/enlighten on this. |

It could get you banned but noone but you 2 would ever know about it. So it's not something you would get banned for in the game. It is just like giving some in game cash to your friend :/

officially it is a violation of the rules. on the other hand, Anet has always used the rules to keep the bad guys away (atleast they are trying ).
So I wouldn't worry too much unless your planning to do it on a large scale or too often. |

Everyone in this thread is correct. It's officially against the EULA, and like akelarumi said, if done on a large scale with a lot of people will more than likely get you banned. But as aspi said, if it's just with one friend, you're probably safe. I give stuff to my friend all the time -- items, gold, you name it -- and he gives stuff to me. The fact that it's just those two accounts spending time in maps together and trading stuff back and forth, with no wonky IP irregularities, means we look like what we are, two friends who play together and help each other out.
